Importing Cardmarket orders: CSV export or browser add-on?
There are two ways to get Cardmarket orders out of Cardmarket: the monthly CSV reports on Cardmarket's statistics page, and a browser add-on that reads an order while you look at it. Use the CSV reports once for your order history, and the add-on for every new order from then on.
Option 1: Cardmarket's CSV reports
Cardmarket can create monthly reports of your purchases and sales as CSV files.
- On Cardmarket, open your user name → Account → Statistics.
- For each month you need, create the reports:
- for purchases: Purchased Orders and Purchased Articles,
- for sales: Sold Orders and Sold Articles.
- Once Cardmarket has generated them, download the files from the Downloads section of the statistics page.
- Upload them in your tool. In CardTradeMate: Import → Cardmarket, the orders file and the articles file together.
Good for: your history. One upload per month brings in every order of that month.
Keep in mind: the reports have to be created month by month, and they are a snapshot — an order that changes afterwards (a refund, a late cancellation) is not updated by itself.
Option 2: the browser add-on
An add-on works on the Cardmarket pages you open yourself. On an order page, one click sends that order to your tracker.
With the CardTradeMate add-on for Chrome and Firefox:
- Shipping, sales commission and trustee fee are carried over and spread across the cards of the order.
- Refunds are included, together with the card they applied to.
- The order lists on Cardmarket mark which orders are already imported, so nothing is forgotten.
- Re-importing an order never overwrites corrections you made by hand.
- After the import, a link takes you straight to the order.
Good for: every new order, right when it arrives or ships.
Keep in mind: the add-on only sees what you open — it does not crawl your whole order history in the background.
Comparison
| CSV reports | Browser add-on | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Order history, many months at once | New orders, one at a time |
| Effort | Create and download per month | One click on the order page |
| Already imported? | You keep track yourself | Marked in Cardmarket's order lists |
| Re-import | Upload again | Never overwrites your corrections |
The combination that works
- Once: import the CSV reports for the months before you started — purchases first, then sales, so every sale finds the copy it was bought as.
- From then on: import each new order with the add-on.
Importing the same order twice does not create a duplicate; the order is recognised by its Cardmarket order number.
Check where the order lands
If you use CardTradeMate both on your own and in a shared group, check which space is active before importing — the order goes into the space that is active (or that the add-on's API key belongs to).
After the import
Once purchases and sales are in, the rest follows from them: what each copy cost including its share of shipping, which purchase each sale used (first in, first out), and the profit per sale and month. How that profit is calculated is explained step by step in a separate guide.
